About the WDMCS Foundation
The West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) Foundation benefits the students, teachers, and entire school district by offering quality fundraising and accounting resources for anyone interested in supporting WDMCS students.
The foundation began in 1988 as an independent, not-for-profit organization that works closely with the school district administration, staff, and community to provide resources to students. It also strives to encourage student participation, creative teaching, and community-school partnerships by making raised or donated funds available for all 13 schools in the WDMCS District.
Vision Statement: To ensure that each student — regardless of individual means — has the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential.
Mission Statement: To support individuals and organizations raising funds for and investing in the students of the West Des Moines Community School District by providing fundraising and accounting resources.
Note: Along with being under the umbrella of the Foundation and abiding by the Foundation bylaws, the Clive PTO abides by a mission statement and guidelines set forth and agreed upon by the Executive Board.
