Meet the 2019-2020 Executive Board
President: Meghan Borland
I am excited to begin my first year on the Clive PTO. My husband and I have two sons that attend Clive (kindergarten and second grade). I look forward to spending this year working with parents and teachers to create a fun and positive learning environment for our students.
Vice President: Patrick Harden
I have a third grader and a kindergartner this year. I work at the Casey's General Store Distribution Center in Ankeny. I'm looking forward to building a greater connection with our school and our parents this year by serving on the PTO board.
Secretary/Communications: Laura Schieber
I have a fifth grader, third grader, and first grader at Clive. I work full time at Covenant Presbyterian Church and enjoy helping other community groups when time allows. Being involved in the CLA PTO has enabled me to build friendships with other parents and has given me the chance to get to know my children's classmates and friends.
Fundraising Chair: Jane VanZee
I am excited to continue my role as the fundraising chair at CLA. My husband Brett and I have two children. We have an eighth grader at Indian Hills and a fifth grader at Clive. Outside of volunteering for the PTO, I work part time as a Speech Language Pathologist in subacute rehab. I love being part of the PTO and the opportunity it gives me to get involved in my children's learning experiences and build such great relationships with our CLA families, facilitators and staff. I look forward to another great year at Clive Learning Academy!
Treasurer: Errin Patterson
This is my second year on the PTO Board. I have a fifth grader at Clive, an eighth grader at Indian Hills and my oldest off at college. I currently work for DSM Public Schools along with helping run a family business. I'm pleased to serve as the Treasurer.
Volunteer Coordinator: Erica Hayen
I have two sons; a first grader at Clive, and a toddler. In addition to parenting boys and volunteering, I work for Wells Fargo in Human Resources. I’m so excited to be a part of the PTO - on top of helping our kids, teachers, and school, this has been such a great way to get to know other parents and teachers and make connections in our community.
