Spirit Week is Here!

SPIRIT WEEK

To keep away the winter blahs and to have a little fun, the week of Feb. 3 will be SPIRIT WEEK at Clive Learning Academy. This is a great time for your student to show their school spirit and to build a sense of community with classmates and staff! Spirit Week brings Penny Wars and Dress-Up Days, and culminates with a Family Movie Night in the gymnasium. Be sure to join us in this week long celebration of Clive pride! Please read below for all the details!

PENNY WARS

Penny Wars is a CLA tradition in which students bring in loose coins for their grade level. Jars are set up in the school lobby, labelled by grade. Pennies and bills placed into jars count positive for their grade while silver coins take away (negative). The grade with most money wins a cash prize to be spent at their discretion. All other funds raised will go to the PTO for all school events. Penny Wars will run all five days of Spirit Week.

DRESS-UP DAYS were chosen by the CLA Student Council.

Monday, Feb 3: Sleepwear Day (Wear your pajamas, robes, slippers, etc.)Tuesday, Feb 4: Character Day (Dress as your favorite book character.)Wednesday, Feb 5: Wacky Hair Wednesday (Make your hair as crazy as you can!)Thursday, Feb 6: Seaside Day (Dress for a day at the beach; no swimwear, please.)Friday, Feb 7: Clive Pride (Wear school gear or dress in orange and black.)

You are welcome to bring your own water bottle; no other beverages or food will be allowed in the gym. Children must be accompanied by an adult for this event. Families are encouraged to attend together! Bring a blanket and pillow, if desired. Plan to enter the building through the gym doors on the north side. Movie Night is free for all to attend!
